Student Leadership

A. Student Leadership Services

Student Leadership Services develop responsible, ethical, and service-oriented leaders through seminars, workshops, mentoring, and active participation in student government and recognized organizations. These programs strengthen communication, decision-making, teamwork, accountability, problem-solving, project management, financial responsibility, and organizational governance.

Student leaders are also encouraged to participate in community service, environmental activities, outreach programs, and institutional initiatives. They are expected to follow College policies, perform their duties responsibly, maintain proper records, submit required reports, and demonstrate transparent leadership. Outstanding student leaders may be recognized for their academic performance, service, and meaningful contributions to the College community.

Student Services

A. Student Support, Development, and Welfare Services

1. Student Admission and Registration Services

These services assist applicants and continuing students with admission, enrollment, registration, subject changes, student records, identification cards, and other enrollment-related concerns in coordination with academic departments.

2. Guidance and Counseling Services

Guidance and Counseling Services support students’ personal, social, emotional, academic, and career development through counseling, career guidance, stress-management activities, crisis intervention, professional referrals, and follow-up services. All sessions are handled with appropriate confidentiality.

3. Student Health and Wellness Services

These services promote students’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being through basic health assessments, first aid, consultations, health education, nutrition awareness, disease prevention, mental health programs, and medical or dental referrals.

4. Student Discipline and Formation Services

This office promotes responsibility, integrity, good conduct, and compliance with College policies. It handles student conduct concerns, policy violations, disciplinary proceedings, conflict resolution, behavioral interventions, and values formation while observing fairness, confidentiality, and due process.

5. Student Organizations and Activities

The College supports recognized student organizations that promote leadership, academic enrichment, cultural awareness, community involvement, and student engagement. Services include organization accreditation, activity approval, leadership training, event coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and recognition.

6. Student Government Services

The student government represents the student body and provides opportunities for participation in decision-making, expression of concerns, leadership development, student welfare programs, and coordination with College officials. Officers must perform their duties responsibly and transparently.

7. Sports and Recreation Services

These services promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and student well-being through intramural and intercollegiate sports, recreational activities, fitness programs, varsity training, sports clinics, and wellness campaigns.

8. Arts, Culture, and Performing Arts Services

These services develop and showcase student talents in music, dance, theater, visual arts, literature, and cultural performance through workshops, training, exhibits, productions, competitions, and institutional activities.

9. Student Publication and Campus Journalism

The Student Publication provides a platform for responsible student expression, journalism, information dissemination, and creative work through writing, photojournalism, design, broadcasting, multimedia production, and print or digital publication.

10. Student Safety and Security Services

These services maintain a safe and orderly campus through security monitoring, identification checks, emergency response, traffic management, incident reporting, safety inspections, disaster preparedness, and coordination with emergency agencies.

11. Alumni Relations Services

Alumni Relations Services maintain communication between the College and its graduates through alumni registration, reunions, career networking, mentoring, scholarships, employment referrals, graduate tracer studies, and institutional development activities

B. Institutional Scholarship and Financial Assistance Programs

Southern Peninsula College is committed to promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality higher education. Through government-funded assistance, institutional scholarships, talent-based grants, student assistantships, and other financial support mechanisms, the College helps qualified students pursue and complete their education.

The Scholarship Services Office administers and coordinates scholarship and financial assistance programs. It provides scholarship orientation, application support, document verification, beneficiary monitoring, renewal assistance, and coordination with government agencies, private organizations, and institutional partners.

1. CHED–UNIFAST Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Program

The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is a government-funded financial assistance program established under Republic Act No. 10931 and implemented by UniFAST in coordination with CHED. It provides financial assistance to qualified Filipino students enrolled in eligible private higher education institutions, helping reduce financial barriers to tertiary education. Qualified beneficiaries may receive ₱27,000.00 per academic year (₱13,500.00 per semester), subject to prevailing guidelines. The Scholarship Services Office serves as the CHED-UniFAST Focal Office responsible for orientation, application assistance, coordination, and monitoring of beneficiaries.

2. Southern Peninsula College Institutional Scholarship Program

The Southern Peninsula College Institutional Scholarship Program provides educational opportunities through institution-funded scholarships that recognize academic excellence, leadership, talents, and financial need while promoting equal access to quality higher education.

2.1. SPENC Gold Medallion Scholar (Full Merit Scholarship)

The SPENC Gold Medallion Scholarship is the College’s highest academic distinction awarded to outstanding students. It grants full Tuition and Other School Fees (TOSF) assistance together with a semester financial incentive to encourage sustained academic excellence and leadership.

2.2 SPENC Silver Medallion Scholar (Half Merit Scholarship)

The SPENC Silver Medallion Scholarship recognizes students with commendable academic performance by providing partial Tuition and Other School Fees (TOSF) assistance and a semester financial incentive to encourage continued scholastic achievement.

2.3 Col. Delgado Scholarship Program

The Col. Delgado Scholarship Program supports financially deserving students through tuition assistance while providing opportunities for student assistantship, leadership development, and work experience. Benefits may include tuition discounts, accommodation, uniforms, and performance-based allowances.

2.4 Non-Academic Scholarship Program

The Non-Academic Scholarship Program recognizes students with exceptional talents in music, arts, athletics, and institutional representation, promoting holistic development and school pride.

2.4.1. School Marching Band Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to members of the official College Marching Band who actively represent the institution in ceremonies, competitions, and community activities. Benefits may include tuition assistance, uniforms, meals, and transportation support.

2.5 Quasi-Scholar Program

The Quasi-Scholar Program grants conditional scholarship privileges to students who actively represent the College while completing scholarship requirements or maintaining eligibility.

2.5.1 The Expressionists

This scholarship recognizes students serving in the College’s official performing arts organization and supports their participation in cultural and institutional activities.

2.5.2 SPENC Hammer Heads (Basketball Varsity)

This scholarship recognizes student-athletes representing the College in sports competitions while encouraging excellence in academics, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Community Outreach

Outreach programs encourage students to participate in activities that address community needs and promote social responsibility. These may include literacy programs, environmental campaigns, health awareness activities, donation drives, disaster response, skills training, and other service initiatives conducted with partner communities and organizations.

Through outreach activities, students develop compassion, teamwork, leadership, and civic engagement while applying their knowledge and skills in real-life settings. All programs shall be properly coordinated, approved, documented, and evaluated to ensure safety, relevance, and meaningful community impact.
