SPenC Criminology Board Exam Performance Earns PCAP Region IX Recognition
For the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Southern Peninsula College, October 15, 2026, will be remembered as a day of quiet pride. On that day, PCAP Regional Council IX formally recognized the SPenC criminology board exam performance in the August 2026 Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE).
SPenC recorded an overall board performance of 59.52%, above the national passing rate of 57.56%. For a college in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, this is more than a number. It is a clear sign that quality criminology education can grow and thrive in our province.
A Recognition Rooted in Results
The Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Region IX presented the Certificate of Recognition at the Oath-Taking Ceremony of New Criminologists and Induction of New PCAP Members. PCAP Region IX and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Region IX held the ceremony together at the Dipolog City Sports Complex.
The certificate itself explains why the honor matters. PCAP Region IX, in its words, “extends this recognition to Higher Education Institutions that achieved the National Passing percentage and above in the board examination performance ranking.” In other words, a school earns this award through results.
SPenC School President Juris Doctor Leilani B. Delgado-Moselina received the recognition on behalf of the college. Dr. Rowell B. Pallega, RCrim, Governor of PCAP Region IX, and Dr. Paulino V. Pioquinto, PCAP Vice-President for Visayas, presented the certificate.
The day held a second meaning for the SPenC community. As the PRC IX Regional Director Alfonso C. Viloria administered the Oath of Profession, our own graduates stood among the region’s newest registered criminologists. For them and their families, the ceremony marked the close of years of study and the start of a life in public service.
What Stands Behind the SPenC Criminology Board Exam Result
Board results are never the work of one person or one semester. Instead, they grow from steady leadership, committed teaching, and graduates who choose to persevere.
The CCJE extends its heartfelt appreciation to School President Juris Doctor Leilani B. Delgado-Moselina; to the Officer-in-Charge of the Criminology Department, Juris Doctor Romualdo P. Moselina Jr.; and to the Criminology Coordinator, Charlie O. Nalam, RCrim. Their leadership and guidance gave the program its direction.
Equally important were the Criminology faculty, who prepared our students long before the review season began. The college also gives special acknowledgment to Samaritan Review Center, led by Adrian A. Recla, MSCJ, Win Marc C. Cabilan, RCrim, JD, and Team Samaritan Review Center. Their work played a valuable part in our graduates’ preparation.
Above all, this recognition belongs to the graduates themselves. They carried the long hours of study, the pressure of the examination, and the hopes of their families. Their success reflects the dedication, perseverance, and commitment that SPenC CCJE values in criminology education.
Why This Matters to Students and Families in Zamboanga del Norte
That is why the SPenC criminology board exam result carries meaning beyond our campus. Students from Labason and nearby towns, such as Liloy, Gutalac, Kalawit, Tampilisan, and Sindangan, can prepare for the licensure examination close to home.
For parents, a passing rate above the national average offers something practical: confidence. It shows that the program prepares students well. It also shows that a family’s investment in education can lead to a licensed profession.
For our partner agencies and the wider criminology community, the result reflects a shared goal. Together, schools, review centers, and professional bodies help raise the standard of criminology education in Region IX.
Looking Ahead
The result of the SPenC criminology board exam last August 2026 was a milestone is worth celebrating, yet it is not the finish line. The CCJE will keep strengthening its instruction, mentoring, and board preparation so that future batches can reach even greater heights.
To our CLE passers and the entire SPenC CCJE community: congratulations. May this recognition inspire continued progress and greater achievements.
