LABASON, Zamboanga del Norte — The SPenC ROTC blood donation 2026 participation brought cadets and student volunteers together for a humanitarian cause on August 15, 2026.
Southern Peninsula College (SPenC) joined the 10th RESCOM-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity at the SPenC Multi-Purpose Covered Court (SMPCC).
The conducted the nationwide activity through its Community Defense Centers. It formed part of the celebration of the command’s 43rd Founding Anniversary.
SPenC ROTC blood donation 2026 supports a nationwide initiative
The 904th Community Defense Center (904CDC) under the 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG) conducted the activity at SPenC.
First-year students enrolled in ROTC led the school’s participation. Student volunteers from other year levels also came forward to support the blood donation initiative.
The simultaneous activity sought to support blood supply needs while encouraging volunteerism and humanitarian service.
It also brought together government agencies, reservists, ROTC cadets, students, partner institutions, and other volunteers in a common cause.
10th RESCOM-Wide blood donation marks 43rd anniversary
The August 15 activity was part of a wider blood donation initiative conducted by RESCOM, PA through its Community Defense Centers across the country.
The 9th Regional Community Defense Group announced simultaneous blood donation venues within its area for the activity.
The initiative also continued the Reserve Command’s involvement in humanitarian and community-based activities beyond its military training responsibilities.
SPenC ROTC blood donation 2026 puts service into action
For SPenC cadets, participation demonstrated that ROTC values can extend beyond military instruction and drills.
Discipline, patriotism, compassion, and service can also be expressed through voluntary action for the welfare of others.
Blood donation gives eligible volunteers an opportunity to make a direct humanitarian contribution. It also shows students how individual action can support a larger community effort.
